Zane Hansen began his career with the Meadow Lake Tribal Council following his graduation with a business degree from the University of Saskatchewan.

It was important to Zane to become involved in his local community serving as alderman for a number of years, and vice-chair of a regional health authority.

Zane is now CEO of the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority one of the largest First Nations businesses in Canada. He's proud of the achievement of being involved in the opening of three new facilities resulting in $125 million in on-reserve economic development.

Zanes believes in surrounding yourself with positive people and credits his wife and family for helping him create the foundation of his dynamic career.

His message to potential students is, "Never underestimate yourself".
