Keith is a member of the Waterhen Lake Cree Nation. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985 with a B.Comm. Following a ten year career at respected accounting firm KPMG, Keith was determined to give back to Aboriginal communities.

He was instrumental in the creation of the First Nations Bank of Canada.

Keith was inspired by his father who taught him that hard work is important and his mother who demonstrated enormous perseverance in helping form his own attitudes about building his own capacity. His grandfather advised him that education was key to keeping him away from "the end of a shovel".

His key message is that Aboriginal youth must understand what the world can offer and then go after it.
