Candice Pete is from the Little Pines First Nation. She graduated from the College of Commerce with a major in General Business in 1999. Candice also participated in the Certificate of Indigenous Business Administration program. She is currently employed as Director, Indigenous Peoples Resource Management Program and feels that this program will help build capacity in First Nations communities.

Candice is a proud single parent of two healthy children. She encourages them to stay fit and active and to balance school and a healthy lifestyle.

Gaining her degree has given her family personal and financial independence. She hopes to see more Aboriginal people attain similar levels of self-sufficiency.
